I was a little skeptical with buying a replacement part# not listed in K&N as a replacement. In the long run your getting more air to filter surface space. With a little bending and twisting of the "L" bracket enough for the botttom of the filter to clear the fender you can easily call this an upgrade to the part# 57-1500-1 for 25% less. The die cast filter adapter seems to be a standard fit to the MAF and the bulk of the cost. The bolts and and nylon nuts are provided the same with one "L" bracket that can be modified or replaced easily. The bottom line is that the filtercharge element (filter) size is the main difference. ESP did the right thing here. I am very pleased with the product and performance.
